The following, which was advanced to third reading from the May 8,             
1994, calendar (page 4201), was read the third time:                           
                                                                               
                                                                               
HOUSE CS FOR CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 316(JUD)                                  
"An Act relating to commercial fishing penalties."                            
                                                                               
Representative Navarre moved and asked unanimous consent that HCS              
CSSB 316(JUD) be returned to second reading for the specific purpose           
of considering Amendment No. 1.  There being no objection, it was so           
ordered.                                                                       
                                                                               
                                                                               
Amendment No. 1 was offered  by Representative Navarre:                         
                                                                               
Page 1, following line 2:                                                      
	Insert a new bill section to read:                                            
   "* Section 1.  AS 16.05.710 is amended by adding a new subsection         
to read:                                                                       
	(e)  The Department of Public Safety shall compile and                       
maintain a list of persons convicted of a misdemeanor or felony                
violation of a commercial fishing law of this state within the                 
preceding 10 years.  The list must contain a record of all                     
misdemeanor and felony convictions of commercial fishing laws                  
of this state within the preceding 10 years for each person on the             
list.  The list is a public record and is available to the public."

	Delete "* Section 1."                                                       
	Insert "* Sec. 2."
